However, I’ve been playing this game so often already that I kind of lost interest.
Poor Dorfromantik ending up in the second to last spot of my list. I don’t know yet what determines fast growth. But this time, the dwarves grabbed whatever they could and the humans stayed on their tiny little island. On my second game, I again dropped each race on an island. There were so many of them! The orcs, meanwhile, had encountered extinction twice because of wild animals roaming their lands. After a while – I did not intervene unless with the orcs – the humans had dominated everything and grabbed every piece of free land there was.
In my first game, I dropped 6 of each, humans, elves, dwarves and orcs. So this is the reason I put it at the end of my list. But since you can do everything you want, you can reach that goal with no issues at all. There is no goals to go after unless you set one yourself. And as much fun as this is, it also means that it can get a bit boring fast. No missions and no resources to hold you back. However, as the game advertises, it is free play. To be honest, it was higher up in my list at first. This is the newest game on my list and it immediately went into my “best” list.

It is instead a list of games that I bought this year. So altogether, I still did play games and thus, can share my list of favourite games this year!Īs always, this list isn’t made of games that released in 2021. I am not complaining, of course! And now that she’s not as tiny anymore, there are slots of free time where I can relax a bit by playing a game. And when I could play, it had to fit certain criteria like being a turn-based game, as I had to take frequent breaks, obviously. And since baby girl arrived, there has been a severe lack of time for gaming. I haven’t been able to play as many games or as often this year than in previous years.
